We often get the question - How many items are in stock?

There are currently 139,000 instock products in stock, out of a total 320,000.

The next question we always get - why so many out of stock? This is by design. Each time a new edition of a book comes out, the old ones go out of stock as they are no longer manufactured. All giftware is manufactured in fixed run sizes, and when that item sells out, it's usually gone.  No one keeps old calendars in production, or dated pieces. And then with music and books, if the item stops selling well, most publishers will continue to sell until the item is out of stock, and then the item never comes back. So this is entirely normal and even desirable. Its the same with our distributors and suppliers. They only stock what sells. They dont bother with low volume items.

Did I miss something? I've been trying to go to my Bookstore website by entering my usual web address: "kingdombread.SPREADTHEWORD.com" but keep being directed to a page entitled "SPREADABLE.com". It was not until I put in "kingdombread.DEEPERSHOPPING.com" that I was able to get to my Bookstore. Is this my new Url? should I no longer use "spreadtheword"? please explain. Thanks & God bless!

It is unlikely such a facility will be developed this year. All efforts are going into the Christmas Season at the moment. We have approximately 1000 new SKU's going into our own warehouse and all efforts are revolving around getting the new products in the system and ready for sale.

This is something we can look at for next year.

We need to have the ability to turn Gift Certificates (g/c) "On/Off". There is no way of knowing whether or not a g/c was ever used, etc. Also, we have no way of tracking them other than what we receive in our email and then sending deeperCalling an email listing the g/c numbers at which time you don't always get an answer back. Something needs to be added in the back office of our stores to track/search by g/c number such as for Coupons ID/Affiliate ID under "Reports" "Search Orders". So I agree they are a hassle, but for a different reason.

I prefer an ON/OFF switch so I could turn it off on my store. Can something be done that will give us the option to do this?

Good questions, here are the answers:

When a gift cert is purchased, it is held in trust - neither going to the deeperCalling nor the Store. We pay the merchant fees, but they are not deducted from either the store or the trust at the time of giftcert purchase.

At the time of redemption the merchant fees are claimed by deepercalling media. The funds are essentially used as if a card was being used on the day of the purchase.

If a cert is never redeemed the funds go to deepercalling media. It does not happen often, but it does happen. Bare this in mind when using gift certs.

In general, we dont like gift certificates - they are a big hassle. Typically were only processing a few dozen gift certificates network wide each year, so its not really worth us putting any further effort into the gift cert process. Its not a generator of revenues, and we have other areas that are much higher on the priority list.
