Changes to taxes for USA.

In the next few months we will be changing how we assess, collect and pay sales tax.

Todate we have left it to store owners to work out what they do with taxes. As of this summer, deeperCalling Media will assess taxes on all Georgia based transactions. Transactions in other US states and territories will be sales tax free.

When a transaction is Georgia based, we will collect and pay taxes - so that store owners do not need to worry about it.

This change will streamline the tax filing process for all store owners and make lives for all of us easier.

We will advise when this change is implemented.

I'm bumping this thread up because I noticed it was from March 2008, but wondered if this was ever implemented.  I understand now that I need to take care of the sales tax in the state where I have a presence but if I am reading this post correctly, that was going to change??  Is that still a possibility or am I misunderstanding this post regarding only charging sales tax in GA and store owners no longer taking care of that.
